What does the Verified badge mean?
A Verified badge means the station passed every check in our published audit on the date shown. It's a point-in-time result from a real, in-person visit — not a guess, a rating, or a paid placement.
What are the 5 checks in every audit?
1. Full quantity — the pump dispenses what it charges for, tested with the station's mandatory 5-litre calibrated measure.
2. Fuel density — a live reading compared against the station's delivery register; a mismatch is the classic sign of adulteration.
3. Water management — daily water-dip practices and records, so moisture doesn't build up in the underground tank.
4. Filter-paper test — the official spot test for visible impurities in petrol, which stations must offer on demand.
5. Visible compliance — calibration seals, displayed certificates, working free air, and the other basics of a well-run station.
Why do some stations show "Not yet verified"?
It means exactly that — our team hasn't completed an audit there yet. It is not a warning and not a judgement. We're a small team and Hyderabad has hundreds of stations. We only ever publish positive results, so you'll never see a station marked as "failed".
Why do badges expire after 10 days?
Fuel stations change — staff, suppliers, tank conditions. A badge is valid for 10 days from the audit date, after which the station shows "re-check due" until we visit again. The audit date is always displayed, so you decide how fresh is fresh enough.
What about the ethanol (E20) reading?
Where shown, an ethanol percentage is an informational snapshot of the fuel batch in the station's tank on the test date. Blending happens at oil-company depots — not at stations — and tanks are refilled every few days, so this number describes the batch, not the station. It is never part of pass/fail.

Station locations come from our own field visits, oil-company dealer listings, and OpenStreetMap. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Fuel prices, where shown, are indicative city-level prices.
Do I need to create an account or share personal details?
No. TrustedPump has no accounts and shows no ads. Your location is used only to find nearby stations. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
